  2. Tau Ceti: Planetary Crisis - Premium Edition

Tau Ceti: Planetary Crisis - Premium Edition

    €94.99

Over the past millennium, a mysterious signal enveloped the galaxy. Like a subliminal force, the signal led various alien races toward the star system TAU CETI. Many civilizations were already on the brink of collapse, and had already left their deteriorating home worlds behind in search of resources, peace, and solidarity.

As new civilizations arrived in the TAU CETI system, they settled among the planets, terraforming them into more hospitable worlds. With this mass migration a new alliance was quickly formed, known as the TAU CETI Authority, which encouraged diplomacy among the different cultures and emerged as the new economic power.

Trade began, with each civilization utilizing their strengths and comparative advantages to maximize productivity. Heralded among the civilizations, a sense of friendship, economic prosperity and peace enriched the star system.

But all is not well. Soon after forming the alliance, unprecedented crises afflicted the colonized planets, causing civil unrest and economic disharmony. The fragile new alliance’s existence is now being threatened! The most skilled Command Ship captains and emissaries from each race are being called upon to assemble a team of specialists, explore the star system for answers, and restore stability before all is lost.

Tau Ceti: Planetary Crisis is a 1-5 player semi-cooperative game centered around an economic engine, asymmetric powers, and strategic manipulation. Tau Ceti tells a story of a newly formed alliance between several alien factions in a time of galactic declension, who compete for influence as they lead their civilization through a crisis-ridden star system.

With multiple paths to victory, you are free to Explore the mysterious outer reaches of the star system for knowledge, Recruit Specialists to help you resolve crises, exploit opportunities through Trade, Buy/Sell commodities as the market fluctuates across planets, Complete Missions for money, Build Orbitals and Defend them against enemies, Acquire Exotic Technologies, and Upgrade your starship's systems for greater advantages as you navigate the cosmic environment.

    Tau Ceti has all the elements of a 4X game, but allows you to advance at your own pace with à la carte advanced rules, and can be played in 1-2 hours. Your goal is to have the most galactic points (GPs) by the end of the final round. The various ways you can earn GPs are;
    •Resolve Crises
•Build Orbitals (controls sectors, produces resources)
    •Accumulate Wealth (TAU)
    •Retain Specific Specialist/Crisis Cards
    •Achieve Battle Victories

    Endure the Stars

    €93.99

Endure the Stars is a 1-6 player cooperative action survival game set on the planet-colonising ship, the N.W.E. Hikari. Players pick up the story one year into the Hikari's colonisation efforts and everything has fallen to ruin. Scientists aboard the ship were attempting to genetically engineer life forms to explore the planet below, unbeknownst to the ships general populace. But a series of tragedies lead to the truth being discovered and the ensuing chaos released the creatures from containment, where they rampaged through the ship, killing anyone they came across. Now the remaining crew live in small groups, salvaging whatever they can to survive.

    Game overview
    • In Endure the Stars, players take control of one or more survivors and attempt to complete missions by exploring the ruins of the once thriving ship. Players control 6 unique character classes, each with their own special abilities that can turn the tide of any game.
    • Complete various missions as a standalone game or an overarching campaign
    • Search the ruins of the once thriving ship for powerful weapons, items, helmets and armour
    • You’re not the only thing still alive on the ship. The escaped genetic experiments, known as the GEPs, are lurking everywhere and if spotted will not stop hunting you
    • The GEPs are controlled by the game itself and start each mission represented by radar tokens. You’ll not know what lurks under the token until you make visual contact, so you must be ready for anything
    • One GEP stands more powerful and dangerous than all others, the fearsome Titan. Its actions are controlled by its own deck of cards, making it unpredictable, gargantuan and deadly. It will take everything you’ve got to bring this leviathan down
    • The game tiles that represent the ship have been designed in a modular style, which allows for near limitless map sizes and set-ups. Games can last anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on the chosen scenario and difficulty, so there's never an excuse not to play!
    • The ship is in a constant state of decay and is prone to black outs, power failures and much more that affects how the game is played and causes you to constantly adapt Learn More

  8. Caverna Cave vs Cave

    Caverna Cave vs Cave

    €17.50

    Out of stock

In the two-player game Caverna: Cave vs. Cave, each player starts the game with only two dwarves and a small excavation in the side of a mountain. Over the course of eight rounds, they'll double their workforce, open up new living space in the mountain, construct new buildings and rooms in which to live, and dig for precious metals.

In more detail, each player starts the game with an individual player board that's covered with a random assortment of face-down building/room tiles and only one space. Some tiles are face up and available for purchase at the start of play. Four action tiles lie face up as well. At the start of each of the eight rounds, one new action tile is revealed, then players alternate taking actions, with the number of actions increasing from two up to four over the course of the game. As players excavate their mountainous player board, new building and room tiles are added to the pool; some rooms can be used immediately when acquired, whereas others require the use of an action tile.

After eight rounds, players tally their points for buildings constructed and gold collected to see who wins. Learn More

  10. The Dresden Files Cooperative Card Game

The Dresden Files Cooperative Card Game

    €44.99

    Out of stock

In The Dresden Files Cooperative Card Game, players work together to solve cases from the bestselling Dresden Files novels in the ultimate what-if scenario: What if Harry was on the scene with allies who weren't there in the original story? Play Harry, Murphy, Susan, Michael, and the Alphas in the first five novels, or take on "Side Jobs" in a random scenario generator based on the short story collection of the same name.

Play your hand, clear the board, and beat the odds in the final showdown at the end of the book. Use teamwork, strategy, and a wee bit of luck to win the day.

The game has plenty of in-jokes and references for Dresden fans (like the unreliable range of the Blue Beetle), but it’s accessible to people who haven’t read the books.

This is a tightly tuned, strategic, cooperative game that feels intense, vital, and a little bit risky (thanks to dice and other factors) throughout play. At 30 minutes per session, gameplay is fast-paced and down to the wire. In this game, players take on the role of Harry Dresden and his allies, investigating cases and taking on foes from the books. To accomplish this, you'll share a common pool of action points (called Fate points), and each player must choose between taking an action or generating Fate points each turn. Solve more cases than there are foes left standing to win!

In short, each player plays a character from the novels (one of them is always Harry), taking on a shuffled scenario deck based on one of the books in the series. Using a combination of cards, dice, and teamwork, players attack foes, investigate cases, take advantages, and overcome obstacles to make sure they have the best possible odds for a win in the final showdown at the end of the book! Like any good cooperative game, it's hard to win (no fun if there's no challenge!), but always rewarding to play, and scales smoothly from one to five players. Learn More
